Once they hit enough viewers and started to get a lot of traffic, google puts advertisements on their videos and their video gets monetized. They Earn money through the advertisements. Twitch is a popular video game streaming websites where players live stream their game plays. They earn money though donations and subscription.
Many of them write blogs about the games and also about latest news and trends in the gaming world.
